The Education Doctorate Degree in Instructional Technology degree is a cohort, 100% online degree program. There are two tracks available for educators:
Certification Track (Technology Coach) - This track is designed for you if you are an educator who is not currently certified in Instructional Technology.
Advanced Track – This track is for you if you already hold or aspire to hold a technology leadership position at the school, district, or state level.

Online Graduate Application - There is a non-refundable $60 application fee.
Transcripts - Official transcripts from EACH college and/or university you have attended.
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 from a regionally accredited college or university

A professional teaching certificate OR a departmentally approved equivalent (for non-Georgia or non-certified individuals).
Mentor Form - If seeking GaPSC certification, applicants must obtain and submit a Mentor form indicating support from a qualified mentor who meets the GaPSC Mentor Requirements.
Employment - At least three years of professional teaching or administrative experience (or a combination thereof), or a related role serving B-12 education.
GRE Score - A competitive Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score and Graduate GPA. The GPA and GRE will be utilized with other admission criteria to determine program eligibility.
A Statement of Purpose that is 1-3 pages, single-spaced, and address the following questions - Why are you interested in the field of instructional technology? Why are you interested in pursuing a doctoral degree? What are your career plans after completing your Ed.D. degree? What areas of research are you interested in exploring and/or conducting? Which faculty members would you be most interested in working with regarding your research and/or career goals?
Resume or Professional Vitae documenting statement of purpose for wanting the degree, education, teaching experience, volunteer and service accomplishments, and record of leadership activities. Your resume MUST reflect, at least, three years of teaching and/or administrative experience.

Effective for Cohorts:
ºÚÁÏÍø School of Instructional Technology & Innovation has been recognized by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) as an ISTE Certification Provider. Kennesaw State is the first (and only) higher education program in Georgia to be awarded this distinction.
What does this mean? You will develop a portfolio based on the ISTE Standards for Educators (ISTE-E). Upon graduation, you may choose to submit your portfolio for $250 to ISTE for ISTE Certification.
KSU is the only institution in Georgia offering the opportunity to become certified by both the GaPSC and ISTE.
You must either be working in a classroom or have access to a classroom to implement class projects and complete the field experiences and capstone project. There will be a few ONLINE synchronous sessions per class each semester.
Also, as a part of the program, you will be required to purchase a two-year subscription for a Chalk & Wire account (~$105) online from the KSU Bookstore if you do not already have an active account.
