Access High-Performance Computing at 黑料网
Faculty researchers can request accounts for themselves, students, or guest collaborators to access KSU's High-Performance Computing (HPC) resources. To get started, install the GlobalProtect VPN software and configure it for the HPC network. Once connected, initiate an SSH session by typing ssh your_netid@hpc in the command prompt. DUO authentication is required for access. For SFTP sessions, download and configure the BitVise client. If you encounter issues with DUO authentication through BitVise, refer to the provided configuration guide.

Request an Account
Faculty researchers can request an account for themselves or request an account for a student or guest collaborator.

Install the VPN Software
Configure GlobalProtect for the HPC network. In the GlobalProtect app settings, within the General tab, click 鈥淎dd鈥 and enter vpn-groups.kennesaw.edu and 鈥淪ave鈥.

Start an SSH Session
With GlobalProtect connected to vpn-groups, you are ready to start an SSH session.
In the Windows Search menu, type 鈥渃md鈥 and click the 鈥淐ommand Prompt鈥
At the prompt, type ssh your_netid@hpc and enter your password.NOTE: As of August 2022, DUO authentication is required to use the HPC via SSH.
Enter a passcode or select one of the following options:
1. Duo Push to XXX-XXX-1699
2. Phone call to XXX-XXX-1699Passcode or option (1-2).

Start an SFTP session with BitVise
Download and install the .
Launch the client and enter the following in the Login Tab:
Server Host: hpc.kennesaw.edu
Server Port: 22
Authentication Username: your_netid
Initial method: PasswordClick the 鈥淟og in鈥 and enter your NetID password, then click 鈥淥K鈥
Click the 鈥淣ew SFTP Session鈥
The window that launches will display your local and remote files.NOTE: As of August 2022, DUO authentication is required to use the HPC via SFTP.
