  • The Department of Career Planning & Development does allow permission to any organization, or individual, distribution of materials of any kind throughout campus. 
  • If you are a Third-Party Recruiter posting a job for a client, it will be necessary to disclose your client鈥檚 company name in the Job Description box. All positions posted by third-party recruiters without the client鈥檚 company name will be deleted from the system. Third-party recruiters are eligible to participate in a Career Fair ONLY IF they are recruiting for their own organization OR they explicitly state the company they are representing at the time of the fair.     Recruiting practices for a third-party recruiter are more restrictive than a typical employer. The Department of Career Planning & Development reserves the right to deny access and participation to any third-party employer.

    Temporary agencies or staffing services are employers, not third-party recruiters, and will be expected to comply with the professional conduct principles set forth for employer companies. These organizations contract to find individuals qualified to perform specific tasks or complete specific projects for a client organization. Individuals perform work at the client organization, but are employed and paid by the agency.

  • When a company registers for an upcoming job fair, they will remain in a pending status until they have been approved. An employer or company must have active job postings in order to be approved to attend a job fair. If an employer does not have a job posted within in their Handshake account, they may be denied registration for job fair. 
  • Companies are prohibited from using the university鈥檚 career services to recruit students for commission only employment and internships. Salaried or hourly positions for the corporate divisions of these companies are permitted. Additionally, companies that require employees purchase equipment or inventory for resale are not permitted to use our Department's services. Organizations offering franchise opportunities are also prohibited. Companies that offer either commission only fulltime positions or require further training and licensure paid by the candidate must disclose this information when posting a position or recruiting on campus.
  • 黑料网 Department of Career Planning and Development will not approve the registration and/or job postings that involve the use, production, testing, selling, or distribution of recreational or medical marijuana/cannabis. KSU is committed to providing a safe, healthy learning community for all its constituencies and to recognizing, upholding, and enforcing federal and state law, as well as Board of Regents (BOR) of the University System of Georgia (USG) policies and procedures.  The use of marijuana is illegal at the federal level, and as a recipient of federal funds, 黑料网 complies with federal law.  Please review the KSU Alcohol and Other Drug Policy () for additional details. 

  • Any company or organization seeking to recruit at 黑料网 must register for a Handshake account through the Department of Career Planning and Development (DCPD). If a representative of an organization fails to comply with the DCPD policies, , or , access to some or all DCPD services may be declined or revoked.
  • Start-up companies must be sufficiently established to where they are able but not limited to:

    • Provide a company name, physical non-residential business address, website and email address with matching domains, and identify an Owner and/or Partner as the key contact
    • Verify they are not seeking potential partners or investors to launch or sustain operation through our services
    • Confirm they have obtained the necessary business licenses and Tax ID鈥檚 as well as sufficient funding, including identifying your funding model and investors, if requested
    • Offer positions for pay, not just for equity
    • Provide clearly defined organization and position descriptions on our job board (Handshake).
    • Abide by the NACE Principles for Employment Professionals and Federal  guidelines.

    Ventures who cannot meet these guidelines may be denied access to our services.

  • Individuals hiring for openings associated with private individuals or residences (e.g. babysitting, gardening, driving, house cleaning, tutoring, moving, painting, maintenance, elder care, etc.) are not permitted to recruit on Handshake.
  • Cancellation & Registration Policy

    The Department of Career Planning and Development (DCPD) has outlined specific employer policies for job fair participation. Please note that the DCPD at 黑料网 reserves the right to refuse participation to employers based on industry representation and space availability, including but not limited to the information below.
     
    Employer Eligibility

    Employers/contacts are not allowed to register for and/or attend job fairs under the following circumstances:

    • Employers must provide an actual contact name for the organization's registration on the chance we need to contact you for emergencies.
    • The employer charges the student a fee for employment.
      Any organization or contact that is denied access to the employer directory in Handshake, the DCPD's online recruitment system.
    • Any organization that is ineligible to post positions.
    • Past-due organizations (organizations that have not paid their registration fees from previous events).
    • Organizations that seek only to promote their services and products, rather than actually recruit career fair attendees for employment opportunities. KSU has a very comprehensive No Solicitation policy; companies found to be in violation of this policy may have their recruiting privileges terminated.

    Refund/Cancellation Policy

    Employer registration payments are due by the due date listed on your invoice. Failure to pay by the due date may result in your organization being removed from the fair and placed on the employer waiting list.

    All cancellation requests must be received in writing and include:

    • Event Title
    • Contact Name
    • Invoice #
    • Reason for Cancellation

    Confirmation of the cancellation request will be provided upon receipt of the written request.

    A request for a refund will be accepted up to 21 days prior to the event. Cancellations beyond this date will forfeit a refund. Approved refunds are subject to a $45 administration fee to offset system and financial charges.

    Cancellations received after the refund date noted on the invoice are still responsible for payment. Future registrations will not be allowed until this balance is paid.
     
    Hazardous Weather and Emergencies

    In the event of hazardous weather, the DCPD will not host job fairs or other scheduled events if 黑料网 is closed.

    In the event of any emergency, the DCPD will not host job fairs or other scheduled events if conditions are deemed to be unsafe.

    The DCPD will make the decision on whether to cancel an event no less than three hours prior to the scheduled start time.

    The DCPD will make every reasonable attempt to post notifications on our website (https://hirekennesawstate.com) no less than two hours prior to the scheduled start time.

    • In the event a job fair is canceled, DCPD will make every attempt to reschedule for a later date.
    • In the event a job fair is canceled, all registration fees will be applied to the new date.
    • In the event an employer is unable to attend due to inclement weather, or an emergency in his or her geographic area, no refunds or compensatory registrations at an upcoming event will be offered.

    KSU Department of Career Planning and Development is obligated to follow both professional guidelines (National Association of Colleges and Employers) and federal EEO guidelines.
