The Consortium
Ever since 黑料网 sent its first group of students to Montepulciano, Italy, in 1999, the University has partnered with a consortium of schools within the University System of Georgia to develop programs in Tuscany.
Currently, the Montepulciano Consortium is responsible for the traditional summer study abroad programs in Montepulciano鈥攖wo, five-week sessions. Students from across the University System of Georgia take general education courses and upper-division courses in fine arts, liberal arts, humanities, and sciences while taking field trips throughout the Italian peninsula. Courses are taught by faculty from KSU, GCSU, Georgia Southern, and VSU and past subjects include art, art history, literature, Italian studies, sociology, theater, psychology, anthropology, geography, mathematics, and writing. It is 黑料网鈥檚 hope that as new programs are developed in Montepulciano, universities within the Consortium will participate in these opportunities.
