KSU University Libraries policy requires that all materials checked out of the library be returned by their due date or will be subject to lost book replacement fee. Patrons that receive a borrowing period for the full academic year must physically return materials by their due date before checking them out again. Failure to do so will result in lost book replacement fees.

Community Privileges
ºÚÁÏÍø Libraries are open to the public. There is no need to sign-in or sign-up for anything in order to visit our library and use most library resources while in the library.
Computing
Visitors to KSU can use a guest computer in each of our libraries (2 hour limit). All other computers are for KSU student use and require student log-in. Guests cannot access library resources from off-campus.
Borrowing Privileges
Residents of Georgia over the age of 18 may request a community borrower's card which provides limited borrowing privileges to the general collection. These privileges DO NOT include remote access to electronic resources OR borrowing services such as Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and GIL Express. Ask your local public library about requesting materials through their ILL service.

Alumni Privileges
The ºÚÁÏÍø Library System allows all alumni to use most library resources while in the library.
Computing
Alumni can use their NetID and password to log on to computers in the library as long as it’s still active (for up to 3 semesters after graduation). Visitors without a NetID are welcome to use the guest computer. Alumni or guests cannot access library resources from off-campus.

Visiting scholars with KSU IDs may borrow materials from the KSU Library System during their stay at the University. There are different loan periods for short-term visitors (6 months or less) and long-term visitors (7 months or more).

Search and drive to local public colleges. 3-5 business days (average)(books) allows you to request books from any GA public university, pick them up at the Library Information Desk. 3-5 business days (average)(articles) will allow you to request articles not found at ºÚÁÏÍø, delivered electronically to your interlibrary loan account. 5-10 business days (average) allows you to request almost anything (no textbooks), pick them up at the Information Desk. -

GIL Express allows students, faculty, and staff of the University System of Georgia to search a single online catalog that includes the collections of all 36 USG libraries, and request those items at no cost. You can also visit any of these libraries and checkout books. Just bring your KSU Student ID.

ARCHE Interlibrary Use Program
The ARCHE (Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education) Interlibrary Use policy allows faculty, staff and students of ºÚÁÏÍø to borrow from the collections of other ARCHE libraries to supplement the resources of their own library. Permission to borrow from another library is a privilege granted by Kennesaw State for a specific period of time, for a specific purpose.
